As most of you probably know, I am going on an outrageous adventure of studying abroad in Florence, Italy. I do not know anyone I am going with, except the few I have casually met at meetings, I do not know the language of the country I will be leaving in for three months, except the one semester that I took, I know nothing of the logistics of Italy, except for the map I have, and I know nothing of sharing a bathroom with three other girls.
I haven't even boarded the airplane yet and I already feel like I am out of my element. Trying to pack for this 3 month excursion has not been easy. It's very difficult to know what you are going to need for three months in a foreign country, and then fit it into 1 to 2 suitcases and a carry-on.
Another adventure I have encountered is the planning of the week long excursion my brother and I are taking. He is coming to visit me and we are trying to hit up Rome, Athens, Paris, and London... in a WEEK. Oh yes... It will be a blast, and interesting to see how it turns out.
This is where I will keep everyone updated on my escapades in Italy and other places in Europe. So buckle up, and get ready for lots of raving about gelato, espresso, pizza, pasta, and all those cute Italian boys (just kidding, Matt!).
